Description of proposal
St Agatha’s Primary School - Buildings and works for the construction of a new school building. teaching and learning building at St Agatha’s Primary School, located in Cranbourne, South East of Melbourne, in the City of Casey Local Government area. The proposed development is for a non-government school with an estimated value of $5,250,000. The school currently has the capacity for a peak enrolment of 700 students and 70 staff. The school has carried out improvements over recent years in Stage 1 and Stage 2 works; a new Administration and Learning Block completed in 2018 and 2019 respectively. This application is for Stage 3 of the improvement works. The existing Junior Block would need significant refurbishment to keep pace with changing curriculum and teaching and learning methods; it is unfit for purpose and suffers from termite damage. Therefore, the demolition of the existing North LA block and a new teaching and learning building is proposed for the Stage 3 works.
