What is this template for?
This template can be used to prepare an internal referral request. Using this template across your planning department ensures greater consistency in the preparation and completeness of internal referral requests.

You should also add your letterhead or logo/standard headers and footers to identify your council

Tips to get the most out of this template
For this tool to be most effective at your council, we recommend:
- customise the tool to reflect the relevant information for that internal referral request
- ensure the template is well understood by planning staff and staff from the internal referral departments who will receive the request
- store a copy of the tool where it can be easily located by planning staff to fill in and send as required
