Description of proposal

FROEBEL operates a 92 places childcare centre within Melbourne Connect, initially approved under the "INCORPORATED DOCUMENT CARLTON CONNECT INITIATIVE UNIVERSITY OF MELBOURNE 700 Swanston Street and 114-152 Grattan Street, Carlton" in March 2018. Service Approval was granted by the Department of Education and Training on 07/01/2022 (SE-40022643). FROEBEL intends to submit an application to the Department of Education and Training to amend the Service Approval to increase the approved number of children to be cared for at the childcare centre from 92 to 98 children per day. The owner (Lendlease Carlton Connect Asset Pty Limited) is providing their consent to the change. As part of the application for an amendment of the Service Approval, FROEBEL needs to provide confirmation from the development consent authority that an additional development consent / permit is not required in relation to increasing the number of approved childcare places by 6 places to 98 places in total.
