North East Link Inquiry and Advisory Committee (IAC)
The Minister appointed the combined Inquiry and Advisory Committee (IAC) to consider the Environment Effects Statement, draft Planning Scheme Amendments (PSA) to the Banyule, Boroondara, Manningham, Nillumbik, Whitehorse, Whittlesea and Yarra planning schemes, and Works Approval Application (WAA) prepared for the North East Link Project.

Exhibition period and submissions
The EES was placed on public exhibition, together with a works approval application (WAA) and a draft planning scheme amendment (PSA) to the Banyule, Boroondara, Manningham, Nillumbik, Whitehorse, Whittlesea and Yarra planning schemes, from 10 April 2019 to 5.00pm on 7 June 2019.

The Directions Hearing was held Friday 21 June 2019 at 10.00am at The Veneto Club, 191 Bulleen Road, Bulleen.

At the Directions Hearing, the IAC established the necessary arrangements and a timetable for public hearings.
Public hearings commenced on Thursday 25 July 2019 and concluded on Monday 16 September 2019.

The Inquiry must produce a written report for the Minister for Planning within 30 business days from its last hearing date, in accordance with the Terms of Reference.
The Public Hearing on the Project concluded on 16 September 2019 and the Inquiry and Advisory Committee subsequently submitted its report to the Minister for Planning on 22 October 2019.
