Overview

On 8 October 2018, the Minister for Planning called in the planning permit applications for the Inverleigh Wind Farm (PA1800340) and the Inverleigh Solar Farm (18/0356), which are a co-located wind and solar farm. The Department of Environment, Land Water and Planning (DELWP) has requested that a single hearing is held to consider both applications.

The proponent is Inverleigh Wind Farm Pty Ltd.

Permit information

Inverleigh Wind Farm - Permit application (PA1800340)

The proposed wind farm, located at 270 Peels Road, Winchelsea, is comprised of 16 turbines and is expected to generate up to 65MW of electricity. Specifically, the application is for:

  • To use and develop the land for the purpose of a wind energy facility
  • To erect and display a business identification sign
  • To remove native vegetation the proposed turbines have a maximum height of 200m with a hub height of 121m, rotor diameter of 158m and rotor clearance of 42m. The proposed solar farm is to be located at 480 Peels Road, Inverleigh. The application is to use and develop the land for the purpose of a renewable energy facility (solar farm).
