Description of proposal
Condition 16 has been amended to reduce the number of car parking spaces provided on site from a maximum of 438 with 232 spaces available for public parking to maximum of 432 with 164 spaces available for public parking. Condition 17a), b) & c) has been amended and now includes 17a), b), c) & d). The amendment allows for the car park to be named the "Melbourne Aquarium Car Park", and it allows for the short stay and public car spaces to be prioritised for Aquarium patrons. Condition 19 has been amended to reduce the number of car parking spaces to be used in association with the approved commercial/retail uses within the building from 96 to 66 car parking spaces. Demolition and removal of utility buildings and construction of 3 multi-storey buildings, to be used for Office, Shop, Residential building, Dwelling, Food and drink premises, public Car park, Art and craft centre, Art Gallery and incubators and ancillary parking and loading facilities; alterations to a Category 1 Road Zone; buildings and works in the Public Park and Recreation Zone.
