to help building consumers connect to services.

The Building Consumer Information and Support website is now available to help building consumers starting and managing building projects and dealing with building problems and disputes. gives consumers easy, direct access to agencies that can provide information about a range of topics to consumers before they start their building journey. It also provides advice and support to access help when disputes about building work arise.

The site takes consumers through the main stages of the building cycle, with links to information about how to deal with issues that can arise at each stage.

It was created in response to the Building System Review that found building consumers often struggle to find the information they need to guide them through the building industry, and are not sure where to go if they need to deal with a dispute.

The new website is a “front door” that helps consumers be better informed about rights and responsibilities, and options to get help.
