The Amendment facilitates the renewal of the New Street Public Housing Estate in Brighton. The amendment includes rezoning the site to Residential Growth Zone - Schedule 2, deletes Design and Development Overlay - Schedule 2, applies a new Development Plan Overlay - Schedule 3, introduces Clause 45.09 Car Parking and applies Parking Overlay - Schedule 1, makes the Minister for Planning the responsible authority for the Estate and updates the Schedule to Clause 61.03.
